NCCC Website Update September 2025 Convention was a lot of fun, if you missed it, you shouldn’t have! I’m from out west (Colorado) and can’t remember ever seeing so much Corn and Soybeans ready for harvest. Boy do you guys in Nebraska, Iowa and Wisconsin have a lot of corn! And the crops look very healthy, the farmers should have bumper crops of both corn and soybeans which I think is the best thing that can happen! Onto the website updates. All the Convention results except the Concours Car Show and Funkhana are posted and the Gimmick rallye should be complete shortly. I made an update to the RCD membership Database screen so the reset of all the race numbers and populating the race numbers is a bit harder as it now requires that a question be answered to see if that’s what the RCD REALLY wants to do and wasn’t just a slip of the mouse. Hope that cures all the mistakes that can be made so the RCD’s don’t have to re-populate those fields by hand. The new program that sends out the monthly President’s message seems to be working very well, so that issue appears to have been resolved. Also, be careful where you click on the message, I have had many members accidentally remove themselves from receiving the message. It’s not a big deal to reset it, but it does take a bit of time to get the work done because first the President gets the request, then sends it to me and then I fix the issue. For all you drag racers out there, when putting in results, make sure you put the number of rounds completed as the first character in the remarks column. That is the second sort for the results, so it’s important that this be done properly. More to come from the RCD meeting this month in St. Louis. One more thing…. Those of you that decided to become Lifetime members, congratulations. For those new lifetime members and any other members that have changed their NCCC number and have points accumulated in the Competition Database, please let me know as I need to change the NCCC number so the results get populated correctly. That’s all! Have a good what’s-left-of-Summer and then into Fall. Walt Jenkins NCCC IT Director
